We had stayed at the Monarch about 13 years ago, so there was a bit of fear that the property may not have aged well. However, everything was perfect, the room was very well maintained, and the grounds looked wonderful! The appliances appeared new, the walk-in shower was a nice replacement for the whirlpool tubs. Resort activities were frequent, relatively inexpensive, and everyone was very accommodating. The staff was friendly and professional.
One comment to improve your stay: when you open the shower door the towel bar is behind it, so have your towels ready before you get in!
