If you are one of the 50 millions people in the US that run, jog or walk regularly, then we have a great reason for you to visit St. Thomas this summer. The Victory Run/Walk being held on August 30th.
Originally started in 2021 by a local church to encourage people to empower people to overcome challenges; their motto is “ I am an Overcomer”. The event has grown year after year as runners/walkers from all over come to celebrate determination and the spirit of resiliency.
They offer a 5K, a 10K and a half marathon.
All races start and finish at the Havensight Mall near Long Bay, and you go through Charlotte Amalie, Charlotte Amalie West and to John Brewers Bay. Enjoy a beautiful scenic waterfront route.
The race is open to all ages, but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
After the race go and have a celebratory meal at Tap and Still, for one of the best burgers on the island( you earned those calories), or The Delly Deck for a stack of pancakes to reload your carbs.
Some people have goals to travel to all the different continents to run races, we think the islands should be added to that list!
