Ritz Carlton, Cousteau Create New Vacation Activity Program for Kids
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C., has added to its repertoire of upscale service and fantastic vacation experiences with its new Ritz Kids youth activity program. The program is for ages 4-12, and gives kids the opportunity to develop their own unique experiences and memories while staying at the The Ritz Carlton. Each hotel and Resort will have its own unique program, and will be based on the local natural environment and culture. Ritz Kids creates an enrichment atmosphere where children can explore the world through travel.
The company has partnered with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society to create a fun and entertaining educational program. The “Eco-Fun” themed activities for the Ritz Kids programs will feature environmentally focused games and activities that will enlighten the kids to the beauty of nature.
The Ritz-Carlton designed this program to stimulate kids’ minds in a positive way, rather than just keeping them busy during off hours. Parents can trust that their kids will be well taken care of and also have a great time. Parents can also appreciate the educational and environmental awareness aspects of the program. Your kids will be sure to come back excited to share all of the information they’ve learned.
Made exclusively for Ritz Kids by the Ocean Future Society, each activity will incorporate environmental knowledge to educate children about their surroundings. Jean-Michel Cousteau said of his program, “The fun and exciting activities appeal to a child’s innate love of discovery and sense of curiosity. All kids start out as scientists, constantly asking ‘Why? What’s that? How does it work?” The Ocean program bases its teachings in the four main areas of Water, Land, Environmental Responsibility, and Culture. These courses are designed to increase environmental awareness, as well as give the students a chance to learn their own place in nature.
