Aside from it’s nightly Sunset Celebration on Mallory Square, the famous Duval Bar Crawl, and the amazing culinary delights that are found in Key West; did you know that Key West is home to the largest Songwriter’s Festival in the world?
Now in it’s 29th year, the Key West Songwriter’s Festival ( KWSF), will be held April 30 – May 4, 2025. With over 200 artist’s set to perform over 5 days and nights throughout Key West, this is a can’t miss event for music lovers. Not only are there seasoned veterans playing, but this is a showcase for many up-and-coming new artists to be introduced. Some of the new artists that have jumped into the spotlight from past festivals include: Kacey Musgraves, Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, Michael Ray, Randy Houser and Maren Morris.
Staying at The Galleon or Hyatt Sunset Harbor will put you right in the middle of the action.
Easily walk to over 20 out of the 40 different venues that will be providing the entertainment during the festival. Including the iconic Hog’s Breath Saloon, Blue Heaven, Schooner Wharf and, of course, Margaritaville. Most of the shows are FREE, and there are tickets and VIP experience tickets available for some of the bigger names and shows that will be at the Key West Theater and Coffee House Amphitheater.
If you would like to be able to have some quite time away from the KWSF, consider a stay at either the Hyatt Beach House or Hyatt Windward Pointe. Hyatt Beach House is as soon as you come onto the island, and has it’s own small private beach area. And easy scooter or EV ride down to Old Town. Hyatt Windward Pointe is on the East side of the island and across the street from the beach. Still a scooter or EV ride away from Old Town, but that will take you about 20 minutes.
